Love and Respect are two of our core values at St. Andrew's and we strive to ensure all children have an equal opportunity to thrive in school regardless of race, gender, status, sexual orientation, cultural background, abilities, age, interests or ethnicity. In line with our Christian values our children and staff acknowledge, celebrate and support differences across our school community every day.
St. Andrew's is a warm and welcoming place for all children. We have over 30 languages other than English represented across the school and a broad spectrum of children with special needs.
We place a great level of importance on the care of our school community. We have a buddy system which allows our younger pupils to feel supported and nurtured within the school, helping to build their confidence from the minute they start school with us. Reception children have an assigned Year 6 buddy and the older pupils enjoy the responsibility as much as the younger ones.
