Before & After School Clubs

St. Andrew's has a thriving extra curricular activities programme onsite, with lots of opportunities for children to explore a diverse range of interests.

From Year 1 upwards, we offer a selection of morning clubs that start at 8am and run until the school official opening time of 8.45am, plus over 20 different afternoon activities running from Monday to Friday, each extending the school day to 4.20pm.

Our range of activities are brought to the children by a mix of internal and external providers and offer a brilliant opportunity to not only learn and improve new skills, but also to make a wide network of friends within the school community - mixing with other classes and children from other years.

The clubs include:

Music - both choir and orchestra  /
Maths  /  Languages  /  Drama and storytelling  /  Gardening  / Outdoors Project  /  Sports - Netball, football, tennis, running  /  Dance  /  Gymnastics  /  Creativity and crafting  /  Skateboarding

* Fees are charged on a termly basis and costs vary per activity.

Onsite Groups

We make checks on all groups to make sure safeguard training and DBS (police checks) are up to date, together with the groups public liability insurance.

Off site child nursery groups

We make no recommendations on any group used, and recommend parents/ carers make sure that the group has an up to date safeguarding statement on it’s website, and its personnel are both DBS (police checked) and safeguard trained.

To find out if you are eligible and/or to apply for childcare support please go to Childcare Choices which details support for childcare costs – for example Tax Free Childcare and childcare element of Universal Credit.

Wraparound Care

Every weekday we also offer an ‘Early Club’ which is open from 8am and is available for all year groups. This allows parents and carers to drop their children off a little earlier (between 8.00-8.15am), to start their day with play, for just £1 per child, per day. Please note that we do not provide breakfast.

For after school childcare, we have several companies who collect from St. Andrew’s, the main ones being Starfish Kids Club, Honeycroft and Just Like Home, whose contact details can be found on the internet.
